2018 Election Results

A total of 4,394 valid ballots were cast in the Primary Election held on August 28, 2018.  Voter turnout equaled 41.6%.  The 18-year turnout range is 30% to 44% and the average is 34.9%.

 

The final results show that Jerry Bien-Willner was elected mayor with 3,387 votes.  Anna Thomasson, Ellen Andeen, and Paul Dembow were elected to the four-year terms on the Town Council.  All four candidates for Town Council received more than a majority of the total votes cast, as determined by the formula in A.R.S. §9-821.01.  In this election a majority was more than 1,470 votes.  In accordance with Paragraph E of the statute, the three candidates with the highest number of votes equal to the number of seats to be filled for the office shall be declared elected to office.
